AKASO 360 Problems, Complaints & Common Issues: What Owners Say
Owner reports · Reviewed September 22, 2026
The independently corroborated concern in the AKASO 360 discussions reviewed is disappointing low-light video. The same discussions include satisfied daylight users. These reports establish a limitation owners care about, not a diagnosed fault affecting every camera.
Disappointing video in dim environments
One recent buyer describes solid daytime footage but disappointing night results unless there is adequate light around. A separate purchaser who bought the camera for DJ gigs describes poor video in a low-light, loud venue. These are independent accounts from different discussions. Sources: week-one owner discussion and DJ-gig owner's comment in the review discussion.
The reports do not document matching exposure settings, firmware, lighting measurements or export methods. They support a narrow conclusion: some owners find this camera's low-light video unsuitable for their expectations. They do not establish a shared sensor defect, a particular failure rate or a firmware cure.
Daylight and beginner experiences are more positive
The week-one owner likes daylight footage and considers the build reasonable for the price. Another participant in that discussion also likes daytime quality and describes a better overheating experience than with their own Insta360 X3. In the separate review discussion, a new 360-camera owner says the app became manageable after a few attempts and likes the resulting video. Those experiences matter: dissatisfaction in dim venues should not be presented as universal poor performance.
What is not yet established
The reviewed threads also contain individual battery, accessory and software concerns. These did not meet our threshold of multiple independent owners reporting the same specific issue, so they are not presented here as recurring defects. Several posts ask how to use the camera rather than documenting a failure. A reply from someone using a different brand does not establish an AKASO 360 problem.
Official guidance: distinguish preview from recorded quality
AKASO recommends its 360 App or 360 Studio for the initial stitching of dual-fisheye footage. Seeing two circles or seams in an unrelated editor is not, by itself, evidence of a damaged camera. Its stitching guidance also calls for keeping fingers, straps and oversized mounts out of the lenses' view. These checks do not prove that a particular owner's problem is resolved.
The manufacturer's import and preview troubleshooting guide distinguishes preview appearance from final export quality. It recommends checking connection stability, phone compatibility and card speed, then supplying support with the phone model, app version, firmware and card details if trouble persists. Back up recordings before any formatting, and do not remove the card during a transfer.
Do not assume waterproof protection
AKASO's model-specific feature table explicitly lists waterproofing as unsupported. This is a documented limitation, not an allegation that multiple owners experienced the same leak. Do not treat an action-camera label or general outdoor marketing as an immersion rating. The same table lists no dedicated night mode; that is useful context for the low-light complaints, not proof of their cause.
For travel or site documentation, evaluate a representative clip through the entire capture, transfer, editing and export workflow before relying on the camera for an important shoot. Keep the original files while reviewing the final deliverable.
