    • RE: streetbuilder.co down?

      @kartmann

      Yes, the website is down, and it will be down for another 1-2 days till we fix some issues

      You can download the latest build, from 6th of March, from the below links:

      @rodrigo-jeronimo

      If you stop the subscription the tours will stop working also, we will not delete them just deactivate them, in case you want to subscribe back. But if you do not want to be locked in a subscription model we do have per year per tour or you can download the virtual tour and host it yourself (for a $10 fee per tour)

    • RE: Splash screen won't save resizing

      @ben I've fixed the video size from the CSS section. I think we have a bug right now and the width slider is not working properly.

      Below is the CSS I've used. If you need other sizes, just change the width and height in pixels as needed.

      #overlay wdg-other-splash .media iframe{
      height: 500px;
      width: 500px;
      }

      #overlay.mobile wdg-other-splash .media iframe{
      height: 360px;
      width: 360px;
      }

      @kartmann It's not the Street Builder version issue, we did a change on the server side, we will reverse that change by tomorrow.

    • RE: StreetView active after subscription is ended? Rights/Attribution?

      @david-harris

      1. Once a tour is published to Google, it will stay on Street View till Google will remove it, no matter the status of your GoThru account.
      2. Yes, you can add your client Street View and then publish with that account. Please check the below tutorial: https://docs.gothru.co/how-to-add-a-client-s-street-view-account-to-your-gothru-account/

    • RE: Change moderating background to OSM?

      @stéphane-de-greef The moderator supports only Google Maps, we are using Map Box in the Tools section so we mitigate the usage cost Google Maps API has.
      I understand your point. The thing is right now our focus is not on the Moderator but on the Overlay Editor, and we have no idea when we will go back on the Moderator. But when that will happen allowing you to switching between OSM and Google will be an option.

    • Street View app changes

      Below you can see Google Street View Team announcement from November 2020

      You’ll soon be noticing some changes that we are rolling out in the Street View app. With this announcement, we want to give some more details about those changes. Read on to learn more about what’s new and what will be changing.

      Enhanced and simplified menu navigation
      Tap to Explore Street View imagery, tap to Create Street View imagery, and tap Profile to manage your Street View collections.

      A new Profile tab
      You’ll also notice that the Profile tab has been redesigned for easier collection management. There are some filtering options, and photos within a collection are grouped together (no more endless scrolling!) If you create Street View using third party tools or third party apps, your collections will continue to be managed in the new Profile page.

      Some changes
      Due to low usage, there are several app features that we will no longer support starting the first half of 2021. If you’d like to use them in the meantime, you can jump back to the old UI by tapping your account photo in the upper right corner and selecting “Return to old version” (see more information below). It’s also important to note that several of these features will continue to be available through third-party tools which you can find via the Street View Ready software list.

      Please read on for more details and we will continue to update this announcements section to ensure you have as much notice as possible.

      Rights transfer
      The "Rights transfer" tool will be removed from the Street View app. Going forward, you must publish new photos to the account that you want to own them.

      Manual placements and connectivity
      The ability to manually position, rotate and connect photos via the Street View app will also be removed. All existing and past manual positionings and connections you have made will be kept. Please note that you will still be able to manually position and connect 360 photos in all of the third-party publishing tools that utilize the Street View Publish API. For a list of those, please visit our website

      Auto-connectivity Setting and Interval Capture
      You will no longer be able to use the Interval Capture setting in the Street View app with a connected 360 camera. Cameras with an interval capture mode in their own software will continue to work.

      Additionally, we will no longer support automatically connecting 360 photos. If you have this option enabled through the "Auto-connect 360 photos" setting in the Street View App preferences, we will maintain the connectivity of any 360 photos uploaded before the cutoff date. Photos uploaded after the cutoff date will not be automatically connected

      In summary:
      Your 360 photos continue to be valuable contributions to Google Maps, giving other people a better sense of our changing world. You can continue to publish single 360 photos with the Street View app and 3rd party tools to create connected 360 photo experiences.

      If you regularly publish large volumes of connected, outdoor, street-level photos and videos, please read here to learn about some changes in how we will support you.

    • RE: Replacing panoramas

      If the panoramas are the same ones, where you've just change the withe balance or change something to the image, just make sure the file has the same name as in GoThru (you can check for the file name under Edit, click on the sequence number, top right corner, on a thumbnail) and then upload the file back to GoThru. The new image will overwrite the old image and all you need to do is click on Google->Update and GoThru will auto delete from Google the old pano and publish the new one.

    • RE: Retaining GPS metadata in photos extracted from 360 videos [GoThru S.B.]

      @kartmann We will be adding the GPS to the jpg files, but not right now. It might take us 4-5 months till that will happen. The main reason is that we are working on some other projects and we can not divert from them, right now.

    • RE: GSV Tour over 40 Panoramas

      @gpp some times images that have the colour of the skin, might be rejected, because it looks like a camera was put between the legs 🙂 I suppose Google got lots of sample images, to train their AI, from deranged people around the world ...

    • RE: GSV Tour over 40 Panoramas

      @gpp No ... that pano is map rejected by Google AI. Google scans all images for inappropriate content, and the AI can flag an image as map rejected if you have a statue of a naked human body, or a part of the body, a billboard with someone that is a bit less dress, etc ...
      For cases like that you need to press the "Fix Constellation" button. GoThru will apply some changes to the image and try to get it approved by Google AI. I would say that you can do that 2-3 times, and if the image does not get to be approved, you need to check the image and figure out why the AI is rejecting that image, and blur it. Then publish the tour back to Google.

    • RE: GSV Tour over 40 Panoramas

      Google has no limit on the number of images per level or tour. I am not sure I understand what do you mean the tour stops at pano 40 ?

      As a note, when you publish to Google, it can take up to 48h's for Google to process the navigation, so you might not see all the navigation during that time.

      Also, GoThru, has a debug system, that allows you to check what's on Google side. Once the tour is published, click on the "SV Info" button under "My Tours" section, if all the panoramas are green, then you just need to give Google more time to process the tour.

    • RE: Street Builder won't accept .GPX files?

      @J360 Please place the .mp4 file and the .insv file in the same folder and make sure they are named the same.
      Then open with Street Builder the .mp4 file. Street Builder will read the GPS from the .insv file

      The .gpx export option in Insta360 Studio is new and GoThru Street Builder does not work with it yet, but it knows to extract from the .insv which is similar.

    • RE: Loss of image quality in the final result

      @Amazoon360 the first question would be what is the original image size/quality that your images have?

      As a NOTE, GoThru does not downgrade the quality of your images, and we upload the original images.

      But if you upload 20MB images to Google, they will not serve 20MB per image to their users, the images are compressed to 2-3MB

      But the images on Google should still look good, this is a tour shoot with DSLR in high quality and published with GoThru, and it looks very good on Google https://maps.app.goo.gl/mJY5QLaomVy1KoWE6

    • RE: Embedding Virtual Tours into Facebook posts.

      @Blaze-Falconburger

      What you need to search is how to embed an iframe on Facebook, and you will find something like this:
      https://www.loghound.com/content-marketing/how-to-easily-add-an-iframe-reveal-tab-to-your-facebook-page-no-php-required.html

      Since a Virtual Tour is embedded via an iframe on a 3rd party website the above article is relevant about how to add a virtual tour to Facebook. Now if you read the article you will find that you can not add the iframe directly in the feed, just to a Page, and I think the Page needs to have 2000 likes ...
